Mattia Lobertini

Hi, I'm Mattia Lobertini, a builder at heart. I love creating products, leading teams, and turning ideas into scalable realities.

I co-founded Tate (acquired) and helped grow tech teams at Hostmaker and Zoover. These days, I'm traveling and diving into new experiments in technology and AI.

About me

I’ve spent over 15 years in tech, building products and leading engineering teams that scale. From writing code to shaping strategy, I love solving complex problems and turning ideas into real-world solutions. I believe great products are built by empowered teams, and
I’m passionate about creating spaces where engineers can collaborate, innovate, and make an impact.

Volunteering

I believe in giving back to the tech community.
To support that, I co-founded a nonprofit with other open-source enthusiasts and now serve as Vice President, helping create spaces where open-source and the people who build it can thrive.

Based in Tuscany, Schrödinger Hat is a non-profit organization spreading the love for open-source software across Europe.
Our mission is to inspire, educate, and connect open-source technology enthusiasts through free events, conferences and meetups.

Experiments

Exploring new technologies keeps me hands-on and curious.
Lately, I’ve been working on audio manipulation tools and building a personal assistant app powered by LLM to better understand how emerging tech will shape the immediate future of our industry.
